Le phare à lucioles

[...] when the palace of the night lights up its beauty, we'll scratch the mirrors until our faces sing like idols [...]

L'Arbre de Diane, Alejandra Pizarnik, excerpt (1962). Ypsilon Éditeur

Le Phare à Lucioles is the company of composer, musician and sound artist Loïc Guénin. Dedicated to the arts of sound and contemporary writing, it broadcasts and produces its own creative projects on an international scale, and deploys a strong and perennial action on its rural and isolated territory of Mont Ventoux from its venue, le milieu.

Under agreement with the French Ministry of Culture, the company is also supported by the Région Sud, the département of Vaucluse and the commune of Sault. The company receives support from Sacem, Spedidam, Maison de la Musique Contemporaine and CNM (Centre National de la Musique).

Le Phare à Lucioles is engaged in an ongoing process of reflection, experimentation and implementation of concrete actions around the issues linked to the relationship between audiences and today's music. In this way, creation, sharing with audiences and local residents, transmission and dissemination are the foundations of a single political action in favor of art and culture.

Le Phare à Lucioles company designs projects whose formats constantly reinvent this relationship, and carries out in-depth work on a daily basis in favor of sharing with all audiences. Commitment and exacting standards are maintained at the highest level, whatever the scale of the action - local, national or international - or the nature of the projects.

Making music and sound with the public

Relationships, encounters and exchanges between everyone are at the heart of the Phare à Lucioles and its environment. Numerous partnerships exist and are being developed in Sault and throughout France and abroad with schools, crèches, middle schools, high schools, high schools (CNSMD de Paris, Science Po, Universities...), social centers, youth and seniors clubs, EHPAD, Restos du Cœur... Our objective is always the same: respecting people's cultural rights, creating links with everyone, thanks to the presence of artists, art and culture.
