Intentions

« The proposed project focuses on researching the native flora of the southern French region where Le Phare à Lucioles is located. Specifically, the investigation will examine plant species suitable for creating eco-prints, a natural dyeing technique that utilizes plant materials to produce prints on paper. The research aims to identify and catalog the local plants that can be used in this artistic process. The creative aspect of the project involves combining pinhole photography with eco-printing. Self-portraits taken with a pinhole camera will serve as the primary photographic medium. These images will then be integrated with eco-prints made from the researched plants, creating a unique blend of photographic and botanical art. This project will explore the interaction between organic and photographic elements, highlighting the relationship between the artist and the environment. »
